Apologies that I'm only posting these videos, but this one's just so brilliant that I have to. It's my new favourite video and song, Metronomy's new stuff.

(This might have something to do with the fact that I'm sitting in front of my laptop pretending to write. This juutuub-thing I mean.)

I've been up all night with my dissertation (or to be more accurate I've been sitting in front of my laptop since Saturday morning). This song, and Devendra Banhart's way of dancing, has something to do with my state of mind at the moment.

(Thanks Naroa, but I still prefer Herman Dune's style of dancing. Banhart's is a tiny bit annoying).

Herman Dune is my new best friend.

Last year I wrote in the first entry that may the year 2008 be happier for all of us, and I can gladly discover that, at least for me, it was, even if it started badly.
I think the year 2009 will be a year of changes and new things. Just for starters I don't know were I'll be and live and what's going to happen after June.

On new year's eve we made lists of our year 2008 with some friends; Miikka, Roosa, Venda and Ilya. I'll give you some of them, anonymously though.

The most disgusting thing that happened:
- Throwing up on own bed
- The hand-licking guy

The song of 2008 (not meaning the best song):
- Happoradio's Che Guevara
- Feist's 1234
- Jenny Vartiainen's Tunnoton
- Jenny Wilson's Let my shoes lead me forward
- Blow's Hey Boy

The nastiest thing of 2008:
- Love life misfortunes
- Disappearance of a friend

The most unforgettable encounter:
- meeting the guy who became the boyfriend
- the encounter of a stranger and a girl at a random café which led to more meetings between them

The greatest thing:
- Roosa and Ilya got married
- (and it didn't rain)
- Trip to Lisbon

The most embarassing thing:
- All the relationships that started-and-ended during 2008
- Everything that involves Belgium
- Waking up in a random field with face half burned

The most heroic thing I've done:
- Learning French
- Taking 60 people to Norway and back again

What do I want to leave behind from the year 2008:
- Smoking
- Finland
- All the twats and jerks and acting like one myself
- Turku

Happy New Year folks!

I've been sitting here trying to think what to write and how to put what I'm thinking and feeling, but I'm not getting anywhere. So I guess it's enough if I just say that once again I'm back in Finland.

I'm having a wild Friday night at home, waiting for Roosa and Ilya to come.
I've been in high fever all week and I'm getting really really bored of staying inside the house.

Here's some more party pics. (Pictures by Adam and me).
